Hugh Jackman Returns to Wolverine Condition in Workouts for "Deadpool 3"

For maximum accuracy, Wolverine needs to tear apart like a superhero.

As a performer, Hugh Jackman has an extensive career in stage and film that stretches back several decades. Despite his extensive list of credits according to IMDb, Jackman may be best known for his role as Marvel’s Wolverine in the “X-Men” film series. Given that Wolverine (aka James Howlett/Logan/Weapon This was never a problem for Jackman, but Jackman would soon unleash the character’s famous claws again.

On November 8, 2024, Jackman will reprise his role as Wolverine in the new Deadpool 3. This is the first time Jackman has played a fully strong character since 2017’s critically acclaimed Logan. Plot details are (understandably) kept under wraps, but Jackman will be co-starring actor Ryan Reynolds, who plays the eponymous Deadpool. For the past few months, Jackman shared various tips on his recent training progress. To be healthy again like Howlett.

According to hollywood reporterJackman originally intended to hang up his “nails” in peace after playing the character for 17 years across nine films. Part of the reason, he told CNN/HBO’s Chris Wallace on his show in early January 2023, was the physical strain it placed on the now 54-year-old’s body. Who is talking to Chris Wallace?

Jackman has denied in interviews that he takes steroids to build Wolverine’s trademark athleticism. After years of speculation, Jackman said he did it the “old-fashioned way” instead. Now ready to play Wolverine again, Jackman is eating “more chicken” (for nutrition) and crushing it at the gym.

A recent Instagram teaser of Jackman training to play Wolverine again included an image of Jackman running with dumbbell bicep curls (weight not disclosed) in early February 2023. Later that month, Jackman shared a clip of himself running on a seated leg press machine with the caption, “Middle school French class has officially begun.” Last, and most recently in March 2023, the actor shared a black and white glimpse of himself doing a weighted plank/ab slider exercise with a bumper plate (weight undisclosed) on his back.

The caption was simple and directly referenced his future acting plans.

“If you’re looking for me, I’ll be Wolverine again.”

It’s clear that Jackman is regaining the mentality (and physicality) to play a ripped, imposing figure like Wolverine. Based on his previous excellent fitness results as the famous superhero of the silver screen, it seems clear that the actor is more than making good on his regimented gym workouts.
