Dr. Justin Laube is a board-certified integrative physician, teacher, and consultant with extensive expertise in integrative medicine, medical education, and trauma healing.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Wisconsin and graduated with a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. While in medical school, she earned a graduate certificate in integrative therapy and healing practices through the Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing. He completed a three-year residency in internal medicine in primary care at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a two-year fellowship in integrative East-West primary care at the UCLA East-West Medicine Health Center.
He is currently taking several years of personal and professional leave to study the relationship between childhood trauma, illness, and the healing process. He develops clinical practice for patients with complex trauma, as well as patients undergoing major life transitions. He is working on a book for medical professionals, students, and the community that brings together insights from teaching sabbaticals, education, and retreats on trauma, integrative health, mindfulness, and well-being.
Previously, Dr. Laub served as a clinical assistant professor at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine and Health and UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine, where he provided primary care and integrative East-West medical consultation. As a member of the faculty, he completed a medical education fellowship and earned a certificate in innovation in curriculum design and evaluation. He served as Fellowship Director at the East-West Medical Center, where he taught courses for physician fellows, residents, and medical students.
