Things you don’t know about me…by Lacey Green:

1. How would you describe your journey to becoming a super trainer in one word? It has a purpose.

2. If you hadn’t become a super trainer, what do you think you would be doing with your life? She hosts her own talk show and game show with an Oprah vibe, empowering women around the world to empower themselves.

3. Three qualities that brought you to where you are today: Positive. Kind. humor.

4. What do you think is the number one thing you hope people have learned and continue to learn from you? Fitness is something every body and every body needs, so love who you are while working towards becoming the person you want to be.

Just have the courage to go for it. Because what if it turns out better than you imagined?

5. How did your masterpiece “WOOT WOOT” begin? I have always believed that everything in life is energy.

And “WOOT WOOT” became my catchphrase to tell people that I saw their energy and was giving all of myself back to them.

My mom always taught me that if someone gives you a Tupperware with something in it, always fill it with something and give it back. Never return it empty.

We all have a “WOOT WOOT” in our hearts that we want to share with the world.

6. What has moved you recently? I saw one of the women I met only at BODi step into her power.

Claudia has battled epilepsy (she’s been seizure-free for three years now), had five inches of her brain removed, and lost 90 pounds over the past year. My BOD cast members show up every time with their biggest smiles and love, and are not afraid to bless and encourage everyone around them.

She is the epitome of #healthesteem.

7. What is it like to be a mother? There is a boy who has always captured my heart. And he calls me “mom”.

Being a mother is like having your heart on the outside of your body for the rest of your life. Every year we start a new journey and it goes by in the blink of an eye. There are no books about raising children.

Some days I feel so fulfilled and like I’ve accomplished everything, and other days I wonder if I was right or if I could have done more. Lots of laundry and dishes!

I remember the days of running to the swings on the playground, and suddenly I’m watching them run into the end zone of a high school football championship.

Becoming a mother makes you braver and more fearless than you think.

And no matter how many goals and dreams I accomplish, my greatest accomplishment will always be being Cain’s mother and I feel so blessed to have a front row seat to his life.

When people ask me what I want my son to do in life or what I want him to be, my only answer is “Happy.”

8. What is the background of your mobile phone? A photo of my son and I at a football game.

9. What are you most proud of and why? I will always be proud to be Karen’s mother.

But when it comes to my life and what I’ve personally accomplished, what I’m most proud of is that no matter how hard it got, no matter how difficult life felt, no matter how many times I got discouraged or defeated, I never let the difficult events in my life change my smile or my purpose.

I always believed in myself and kept going. #mbf Muscle Burns I’m so proud to have gone from Fat modifier to Beachbody super trainer.

But mostly, if someone can breathe a little easier because of my story, or someone takes a brave step towards their dreams because of my story, that makes me even more proud.

10. What is a perfect day? Pool and beach days with my son, family, and friends, all while eating my mom’s homemade food and her signature Dutch apple pie.

And we definitely played some kind of silly game that I made up, like water balloon tag or freeze dance. Make memories, fully immerse yourself in the moment, and of course, a really great playlist.

11. Who is your biggest role model? my mom.

12. Who is your favorite dinner companion? Forever my chocolate lab booker and now savoring all the treats in doggy heaven.

13. What quality do you most value in a friend? unconditional love.

14. What makes you laugh no matter what you do? I watch anything Ace Ventura.

15. What is the most adventurous thing you have ever done? Parenting a teenager!

You might climb to the top of a ridiculously high mountain or zip line over a waterfall in Costa Rica.

But to be honest, the most adventurous “thing” for me is chasing this dream.

I never needed anyone else to understand or give me permission. I knew in my heart that’s what I was supposed to do.

16. What is the best advice you have ever received? The words I cherish are: “People will forget what you said. People will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.” (Dr. Maya Angelou)

17. What advice would you give someone who is intimidated to work out?
First, find out what’s holding them back. Then I tell them to focus on the person they want to be.

Then, muster up the courage to do what one would do and remember that a 1,000-mile journey begins with a single step.

18. NSYNC or Backstreet Boys? Asynchronous! Bye, bye, bye, Backstreet Boys.

19. What is something that people would never guess just by looking at you? That I’m afraid of the dark. And never watch scary movies. Yes, until now.

20. What are you most excited about about the Beginners Only program?
all! I’ve dreamed of having my own Beachbody program for years.

For the first time, we offer people around the world a place to start, whether they’ve never exercised in their life or want to make the choice to become healthier and stronger.

Beginners Only is a super fun and exciting program that makes everyone feel welcome, included, and successful from their first workout.

I love that all the exercises we choose and all the positive affirmations we choose help each person focus on honoring their health.

I imagine mothers and daughters, fathers and sons, families, active age groups, and especially those who have thought fitness is not for them or have been intimidated by the gym and exercise all smiling and running through this program together.

My goal is for everyone to feel confident knowing that fitness is for all shapes, ages, shapes, shapes, and races, and that they are in the right place.
